Why this site exists
In these high-control religious groups, the International Christian Church (ICC) and Restored Church Worldwide (RCW), you are kept very busy, and often there is little time left to stop and think. Questions can be treated as disunity, rebellion, or divisiveness, and you are expected simply to "trust" your leaders.
This site encourages the opposite. Slow down. Open the Bible for yourself. Read the verses before and after. Ask the hard questions. That is what the Bereans did, and Scripture calls them noble for it. We invite you to examine daily.
Our writers (good-hearted disciples) come from all walks of life and served in many different roles in these groups. All of them write anonymously. That isn't about avoiding questions. It keeps the focus on what the Word says rather than on who is saying it. The goal is not to believe a person, but, like the Bereans, to examine the Scriptures to see whether what you've been taught is true.
Our approach
We set out what was taught, drawing on published sources and the experience of former members and leaders, offer perspective, and point you to the passages so you can read them for yourself. Our hope is simply that you'll be willing to reconsider what you've been taught, examine it against Scripture, and come to your own convictions.
